WHO WE ARE

Our Story

Paul is one of the owners of High Sierra Estate Liquidation, alongside his brother Kirby. Together, they have been liquidating homes and businesses throughout Northern Nevada for over 15 years. Born and raised in Reno, Paul and Kirby have owned and operated multiple local businesses for more than 30 years. High Sierra Estate Liquidation is a true family business, built from the ground up—not a franchise purchased for a marketing plan, but a company formed through hard work, dedication, and a genuine commitment to helping people through difficult transitions.

The integration of estate liquidation with real estate services grew out of firsthand experience. Time and again, they saw families, trustees, and professionals struggling without clear organization or consistent guidance. In response, they created a streamlined, client-focused process that brings everything under one roof. With a single point of contact and the experience to handle even complex situations, their approach keeps clients on track, reduces stress, and ensures nothing falls through the cracks. Paul is also a Certified Appraisers Guild of America (CAGA) appraiser and serves as the primary point of contact for real estate transactions, providing continuity, informed valuation, and a smooth transition from liquidation through close of escrow.

Estate Sale/Liquidation: By the time I contacted Paul, I was already overwhelmed with the magnitude and volume of items my mother had lovingly collected over many years – namely, over 1,000 dolls and plush toys. Upon my initial interview with Paul and his brother, they spent time going through every room of the house, asking appropriately important questions, and then provided a very reasonable estimate and explanation of the entire estate sale/liquidation process. Their knowledge, expertise and professionalism surpassed that of the previous three liquidators I had interviewed. Once hired, they continued to impress me by the speed in which they worked to organize each room, even the garage – and how efficiently they batched all the items. It was quite a feat! There were many, many items from dishes, to dolls, including china, nicknacks, boxed Barbies, stuffed bears, knitted items, tools, books, large furniture – you name it.

 

Over 300 photos were batched and posted to their website. I was astonished by how much work they accomplished in a short timeframe, given the circumstances. Even more impressive was the fact that after the sale, Paul removed all remaining items, had the windows and carpet cleaned, blinds replaced, and a fresh coat of paint throughout. Paul consulted with me at every turn and collaborated directly with the contractors I had chosen. I can’t express enough how grateful I was to have his guidance and help in this very overwhelming process. Home Sale: Paul’s expertise in the Reno market was evident from our early discussions. Throughout the listing process, Paul was exceptionally communicative and promptly responded to every single voice and text message.
